Humanitarianism, Trusteeship, and the Duty to Prosecute

Event Date:
Tuesday, May 20, 2014

Please join us for a talk by Professor Siba Grovogui (Cornell University, Africana Studies & Research Center). In this presentation, Professor Grovogui will focus on the view that the relationship between humanitarianism and the prosecution of so-called crimes against humanity is a modest wager that we might yet protect and preserve our collective humanity. This event is co-sponsored by the CLSC, UCI History Department, the Center for Global Peace and Conflict Studies, the Institute for International, Global and Regional Studies, the Center for Scientific Study of Ethics and Morality, and UCI Political Science Department.  5/20, 3:30-4:45; Humanities Hall 143.  For more information, please contact Laura Mitchell (History).
