"On Becoming Human"

Thursday, April 21, 4:00 to 6:30 PM
Friday, April 22, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
HG 1010

To become human is to write suffering – whether wrought by war, incarceration, gender violence, humanitarian relief, natural disaster, economic restructuring – into processes of legal justice. The theme mobilizes the existing but loose international network of feminist thought grappling with the consequences of becoming human, therefore seeking to make visible, as well as to enhance, feminist interpretations of becoming human in the global juridical and political order.
